Use
Bins must be placed in the storage so that the retaining wire is threaded through the bin, holding it in place while tilted. This way the lid can be opened without removing the bin — the bins only need to be taken out when they are emptied.
Traditional round bins also fit in the LONDON bin storage, but their shape does not allow them to be tilted, so they must be taken out every time rubbish is thrown away.
Installation
The bin storage must be placed on solid, level ground or on a solid surface such as concrete or paving stones. Its design means it stands stably without any fixing. If needed, it can also be anchored, e.g. dowelled to a solid concrete base: there are no factory-made holes for this, but they can be drilled on site with a hand-held hammer drill.
If the delivery vehicle can get close enough to the planned location for its crane to reach, the bin storage can be placed directly into its final position. Watch our video about the delivery and crane placement of the bin storage!
